Week 38

HE GOES BEFORE YOU

Read Exodus 23: 20 - 23

FOCUS

The Lord God is talking to His earthly children. He has planned where He wants them to be at this time in their earthly sojourn and exactly what they are to possess. This is all God's plan. This is what Father God wants for His children. His children have had a checkered past and a colourful history. He has been faithful to them, through their wandering, unsettled lives. Now he wants them to settle down in the place He has already prepared for them. Does God leave them on their own to get to this place? No! Absolutely Not! Listen to these facts that we so often forget.

FACTS

1.  God is speaking to children who are too weak to protect themselves against all the enemies waiting along the road, to stop them possessing the prepared place. Thus, God Himself, knowing the weakness of His children, sends His angel to go ahead of them, to guard them.
There is a guard up ahead,! You are free to proceed without fear of any unpredictable, insurmountable, discouraging challenges.

2.  God is speaking to children who are too full of self to keep on the perfect path. His children are like sheep, prone to wander and stray. God is fully aware of the fickleness of self and so His angel is to be their Guide. They do not have to know the way they are going, nor do they have to know the pit-falls of the way. Father God has provided an angel to Guard and Guide them to the prepared place.

Do you believe that God thinks about you? Do you believe that He has made perfect preparations to ensure that you get safely to the place He has already prepared for you?

Do you believe that there is a role, a life, a peace, a comfort, just waiting for you? There is a prepared place in this life for you, which God Himself will ensure that you possess.

FREEDOM

When you know that a capable, efficient, already tried and tested angel of God is ahead of you, to ensure you get to the promised place safely and securely, there are no doubts, fears, worries or uncertainties, for God has already taken care of them.

Are the enemies, whose role it is to destroy you before you possess God's plan for your lives, too strong for God's angel?   Then you are free to walk bravely.

Is the self within you too stubborn and own way for God's angel to deal with? Then you are free to walk boldly.

Pay attention to all you are told. Simply follow the one ahead of you. You are free to see, hear and know the Spirit of God who is your Guide and your Guard.
